Claude established the Nix reputation from the seat of his backhoe while Barbara managed all the business operations. They were as formidable a business team as you’ll ever find. Over the years, their endeavors with Nix Construction formed many loyal business and personal relationships that continue to this day.
Fast Forward to 2002
Ingrained with the Nix work ethic and the experience and drive to carry the company forward, Stephanie Nix-Thomas and Jon Nix purchased the business in 2002.
Continuing the tradition
With a commitment to maintaining the family tradition of quality and service, Stephanie and Jon added trenchless technologies and expanded their capabilities to include the latest equipment, techniques, and innovations.
Jon Nix
Vice President / COO
Jon graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 1992 with degrees in Marine Engineering and Gas Turbines. Spanning over 20 years, his experience includes serving as a marine engineer on ocean-going vessels and working with Nix Construction.
Jon revels in the work of underground construction, loves to get his hands dirty while at the same time taking a intellectual approach to solving the most challenging jobs. He takes particular satisfaction in researching, developing and perfecting the latest techniques in the industry.
Stephanie Nix-Thomas, P.E.
President / CEO
Stephanie graduated from Utah State University in 1984 with degrees in Civil Engineering and Business Administration.
With over 35 years experience she has successfully worked as an engineering consultant, in state government, and with Nix Construction. Her business savvy combined with technical expertise assure that Nix Construction is in capable hands.
