RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review and recommend ideas or procedures to help improve jobsite safety, productivity, etc.
• Read, analyze, and interpret plans, technical procedures, specifications, job schedules, and regulations for the job
• Understand the method of construction utilized for each project. If you don’t fully understand, ask questions.
• Review and understand your scope of work and job budget (We will help you with this).
• Assist management in updating project schedules and work duration forecasts.
• Enforce all safety regulations, company policies and procedures.
• Daily Onsite Management of assigned project and team members.
• Inform and manage team members on issues such as: rain events, time off, tardiness, work schedules, assist with reviews, job site disputes, etc.
• Facilitate good jobsite training and coaching practices to accelerate the growth of your team members.
KNOWLEDGE
• Three years of experience in a construction supervisory role working with utility/excavation/trenchless/underground equipment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Class A CDL and 3G welding cert a must
• Ability to effectively manage jobsites and team members
• Basic understanding of survey principles of measurement and mapping.
• Ability to SAFELY operate all types of heavy equipment used on construction jobsites.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret plans, specs, regulations, and technical procedures.

Heavy Equipment Operator

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safely and proficiently operate and maintain various pieces of construction equipment. Some examples would be, but are not limited to, a rubber-tire loader, excavator, rubber-tire backhoe, auger bore machines, pilot tube micro-tunneler, caisson drill, etc. Always ensure that you have been properly trained on the equipment and understand its’ operation BEFORE you operate.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment operated. Always perform pre-operation check of equipment before starting and operating. Completely grease and clean out cab of assigned equipment daily. Keep windows of assigned equipment clean. Fuel equipment daily, at end of shift or as required. Fill out hour and maintenance reports. Perform small repairs and report major repairs and damage of equipment to management. Report any damage to equipment, per company policy. Check for proper track tension and tire pressures on assigned equipment. Assist others on the crew.
KNOWLEDGE
• Abilities to operate many pieces of equipment from Track hoes to Loaders from the size of 200 and above.
• Always be aware of your surroundings and work alongside your crew members is a safe proficient manner.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintenance and Repair of all types of construction equipment and trucks on-site and in the shop
• Troubleshooting malfunctions or problems with the equipment. Identify the problem and make decisions on how to repair equipment
• Research how to repair or improve a piece of equipment, if required.
• Maintain shop yard and work area. Help keep all working areas neat, organized, and safe
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance work and input into company maintenance database.
KNOWLEDGE
• Maintain a Class A CDL and good driving record.
• Welding Certifications are a PLUS.
• Previous industry experience.
• Mechanical background.
• Be familiar with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, electronic systems, and electric motors and generators.

Welder

RESPONSIBITIES
• Safely work around heavy equipment operation, bore equipment operation, rigging, and welding
• Personally, inspect all tools and equipment before use
• Learn about the different types of equipment
• Prepare for work tasks at the direction of the Foreman and look for things that need to be done.
• Wear task-appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) required when completing tasks.
KNOWLEDGE
• Take ownership of completing tasks on Laborer knowledge sheets.
• Must be 7018 SMAW certified or working towards certification

Vac-Truck Operator

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Locate underground utilities
• Assist with underground construction project
• Maintain a safe and neat work site or area.
• Keep assigned truck, and or equipment, clean, neat, and maintained.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Field Services Manager and/or the Owner.
KNOWLEDGE
• Maintain a valid Class A CDL with tanker and air brake endorsements.
• Report all traffic violations and damage to company vehicles to your supervisor.
• Abide by all traffic laws while operating and driving all company vehicles
• Ensure your work is performed at, or above, the high safety standards set by the company.
• Properly secure all tools and equipment before driving.

Laborer
-
Laborers work as part of a team to accomplish various tasks related to underground construction. They must work safely around heavy machinery and various tools of the trade. Assigned tasks will vary depending on the type and current phase of the job. Laborers are expected to learn each process through participating and asking questions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Stand or walk for extended periods.
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects.
• Frequently lift and carry materials or objects weighing 50 to 100 pounds without assistance.
• Climb up and down ladders and other objects while potentially carrying tools and equipment.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions which can include but is not limited to: extreme heat and cold temperatures; inclement weather such as wind, rain, snow and sleet.
• Employees may be exposed to dust, fumes or other airborne pathogens.
